I have over 15 years of experience developing and implementing instructional materials that are both engaging and effective. This experience coupled with my leadership, communication, and analytical skills, as well as strong work ethic and proven record of success, make me an exceptional candidate to consider for your team.
As an instructional designer, I created courses for candidates seeking a graduate degree in elementary or secondary education. My teaching experience provided me with the knowledge to develop student-centered courses that were engaging and relevant. I collaborated with faculty members and college administration to ensure coursework was rigorous, covered best practices, and conformed to established university policies, practices, and standards. I also developed and monitored a work plan for curriculum development and used strategic thinking to plan and manage designated projects to ensure they progressed on schedule. I have built and updated courses in various learning management systems, including Blackboard and Canvas, and was able to familiarize myself with making courses interactive using tools like Articulate Storyline.
In the classroom, I work with a diverse group of learners, and make it my mission to meet everyone’s academic and emotional needs. This includes data analysis, differentiating instruction, using technology, and thinking outside of the box to make standards-based social studies lessons most effective. As a lifelong learner, I take every opportunity to hone my skills and grow as a teacher leader. Over the years, I have taken on many roles outside of the classroom including leading my site in the district’s Data Wise and Diversity and Inclusion initiatives. Both roles allowed me to work with district leaders, analyze data, and develop site goals and plans to achieve them. Such opportunities helped me to enhance my analytical and communication skills. Education is my passion; designing courses to help others learn and achieve their goals allows me to fulfill my desire to make a difference for others.
